Initial consultation
Our first meeting is a 60 minutes video visit. This will provide enough time to conduct a thorough psychiatric evaluation and answer all your questions.
During the visit you will have the opportunity to talk about your concerns and most challenging problems that you are seeking help with. After discussing your concerns and current symptoms, we will go through your mental health and medical history, and other major factors influencing your wellbeing. At the end of the visit, a working diagnosis will be identified and discussed with you in detail.
Follow-up visits
Once we establish a patient-physician relationship, we will have regular 30 minutes follow-up video appointments for ongoing work and to track your progress. The frequency of the follow-up visits is based on your needs. The most common follow-up intervals are:
Weekly or biweekly if you are struggling with severe symptoms or going through a difficult time in your life and you need more support.
Once a month is the most common follow-up. This is to allow sufficient time to assess how adjusting medication doses or starting new medication are working. We can also adjust the treatment plan based on your needs.
Once every three months for stable patients, for ongoing medication management, and to provide regular check-in address life changes in a timely manner and early detection of warning signs and prevention of increase in symptoms.
For established patients, ongoing consultations with your primary care provider and other specialists and therapists treating you are part of your comprehensive treatment plan. As part of your health maintenance and monitoring, I might recommend tests and referrals.
For ease of communication between visits you can send messages through your patient account and leave voicemail for non emergency matters.
Second opinion visits
120 minutes video visit. This type of visit is for patients who are already seeing a psychiatrist but would like to meet another psychiatrist one time for a diagnostic interview and compare the results for diagnostic clarification.
